A new two-dimensional, axially symmetric, drift model that simulates the effect of a wavy neutral sheet, by means of a divergence free drift velocity field, is described. This drift field is a function of the neutral sheet tilt angle and is valid for any radial variation in the form of the sheet. It is shown that in the region that is swept out by the particles drifting along the wavy neutral sheet, the effective gradient and curvature drift is scaled down. This leads to a significant tilt angle dependence in intensities during epochs when particles are drifting from the polar regions of the sun to the neutral sheet (qA > 0). This tilt angle dependence is, however, still smaller than that predicted for alternate epochs (qA < 0), when the drift directions are reversed. The drift velocity field predicted by this new model for the region behind the termination shock is also discussed.
