摘要
Alternating magnetic fields lead to electrodynamic forces, which can be used industrially for stirring melts. These magnetic traveling fields, produced by straight or cylindrical stirrers, have become a . well-established tool for the metallurgist. Since the size of melts is constantly growing, the stirrers are becoming increasingly valuable for achieving ho-mogenization, temperature equalization, rapid and complete chemical reactions, and effective degassing. © 1969 IEEE.
