The urinary incontinence is a wide spreaded symptom which prevalence is increasing with the age. It is defined as an involuntary, uncontrolled lost of urine independend of the lost urine volume or the frequency of loosing urine. Five subtypes of urinary incontinence have been differentiated, stress incontinence, reflex incontinence, urge incontinence, overflow incontinence and extraurethral incontinence. The different symptomatology is shown, differential diagnostical considerations are indicated.
