摘要
The volt - ampere characteristics of a non-self-maintained high-voltage glow discharge of planar and spherical geometries are examined. The limiting potential difference above which such a form of discharge is impossible is found numerically. It is shown that on the basis of a high-voltage glow discharge it is possible to create electron guns with currents approximately 1000 A at an accelerating voltage up to 500 kV.
