摘要：
Spontaneous bilaterally and synchronously occurring spike activity was activated by sleep in a young child and showed the unusual tendency to become time-locked to both clicks and flashes. Averaging of the auditory and visual evoked responses demonstrated that the summated spikes were equivalent to wave N1 of the averaged evoked response. This finding is tentatively interpreted as a type of recruiting response mediated by sensory modalities that utilize mechanisms common to that of this type of spike discharge. © 1969.
