摘要
Objective: The aim of this study is to contribute to construction of appropriate empirical antibiotic protocols via determination of antibiotic susceptibility profile of Pseudomonas aeruginosa isolates from various clinical samples in our hospital. Material and methods: One-hundred fifty-one P.aeruginosa isolated between August 2008-February 2012 were included to study. The susceptibility profiles of amikacin, gentamicin, ceftazidime, piperacillin-tazobactam, levofloxacine, imipenem and meropenem were evaluated via Vitek 2 authomated system. Results: Clinical samples were classified as respiratory (55 %), urine (23 %) and wound samples (22 %). The highest resistance rate was for levofloxacin (13 %) whereas the lowest resistance rate was for amikacin (3 %). Conclusion: Taking in account the current antibiotic susceptibility profiles during the construction of empirical treatment protocols should help preventing the resistance.
