摘要
The neodymium-doped yttrium aluminum garnet (Nd:YAG) laser is the most versatile and commonly utilized solid-state laser today. Owing to its excellent properties for laser operation, the Nd:YAG laser can provide a variety of laser output characteristics, covering wide ranges in peak powers, pulse widths, repetition rates, average powers, etc. Therefore, custom designing is easy for each possible different applications. This paper features various types of Nd:YAG lasers having different operating schemes and their representative examples of applications to materials processing, such as trimming, marking, repairing, welding and cutting for electronic industries, car industries, etc.
