The aim of this article is to approach from an educational scope the intricate world of fantasy and the imagination which form part in the production of contemporary literature. In order to do this, we will attempt to define and distinguish the imprecise limits of this genre, starting with a brief examination of the scenes and characters that inhabit the Fantastic in the work of the Valencian writer Laura Gallego, Mago por casualidad.
