AUTOMATIC ADAPTIVE MESHING FOR A PRESCRIBED ACCURACY IN 2D ELASTICITY

摘要
This paper gives a procedure for an automation of the entire finite element analysis for 2D or axisymmetric elastic structures. The goal is to limit interventions by the user to a description of the problem (geometry of the structure and mechanical data) and a choice of the desired level of accuracy for the finite element analysis. The procedure then provides an approximate solution for a minimal computation cost. The presented examples prove its efficiency for regular problems as well as for problems with regions of stress concentration or even singularities.
