摘要:
The author observes the British Anglicans' practice of creating adverse stereotypes of supposedly hostile Irish Catholics at the late 17th - early 18th cc. She interprets the image of the 'enemy' in religious and political texts of the period as. discernible element of the ideology of 'protestant ascendancy' and as the discriminatory attitude of powerful ethnic and confessional minority to other opposing group.
