摘要
The phenomenon of chemical acoustic emission is the subject of increased interest as the basis for several unconventional analytical tools in chemistry. Its continued development rests in part on the use and availability of suitable chemometric techniques to analyze the vast amount of data collected during many types of experiments. This paper describes an extensible software toolbox developed to facilitate acquisition and analysis of chemical acoustic emission data on an IBM or compatible personal computer. Data acquisition modules handle acquisition of signals from various transient digitizers. Data analysis modules perform signal descriptor extraction, univariate statistics on descriptors, trend analysis, principal components analysis, cluster analysis, and time-frequency analysis. An interactive color graphics module is provided for simultaneous signal viewing and graphical analysis in up to four display windows. To illustrate the utility of this package, it was used to analyze data from the oscillating iodine clock reaction and pyrolysis of poly(vinyl chloride).
