摘要
Stress relaxation behavior of a model for an unfilled, anionically stabilized silicone latex has been used to examine the chemistry of the cured silicone network. It has been shown that the cure catalyst produces siloxane bond interchange reactions which cause chemical stress relaxation. The relaxation rate is accelerated in the presence of water due to a second interchange reaction presumably involving silanols. The measurement of the rate of stress relaxation at various temperatures gave an apparent activation energy of 7·6 kcal/mol for the relaxation process in the presence of water. © 1990.
