DETERMINATION OF ANTISERA TITRES USING SINGLE RADIAL IMMUNODIFFUSION METHOD

摘要
An exact determination of the antibody potency of precipitating antisera is possible by the method of single radial immunodiffusion. The titre T is defined as the amount of antigen QAg (in mg or m-mole) which reacts with a known volume of antiserum VAS (in ml) equally distributed in agar gel: T = QAg/VAS [mg/ml or m-mole/ml]. Fundamental quantitative relations between the titre and the parameters easily measurable in the test system as well as a description of the experimental procedure for the determintion of the titres of plasma protein antisera are given. © 1969.
