The expression of FMR-1 homologous gene was investigated in rat brains from fetus to postnatal one month by Northern blot hybridization. The continuous transcripting during the whole stage and the higher expression level in late developing stage supported FMR-1 gene plays an important role during the late CNS development in embryo.
