摘要：
Necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC) is a relatively common complication of prematurity occurring in 7% to 14% of very low-birth-weight infants. Advancement in our knowledge of this potentially devastating disease has occurred quickly, making it challenging for nurses to stay abreast of the latest research regarding NEC. This article reviews the most recent research published in 2009, 2010, and 2011 regarding risk factors, preventive strategies, treatment options, and the sequlae of NEC.
