OPTICAL-ABSORPTION SPECTRA OF BABIO3 IN WIDE TEMPERATURE-RANGE

摘要
We have observed optical transmittance spectra of BaBiO3 at photon energy 0.45 similar to 3. 2eV and 4. 2K similar to 660K. Three structures in the optical transition around 2, 1eV, 1. 3eV and 0. d5''0. 7eV are identified as follows; both the first and second are the type of allowed transitions and the last is the indirect forbidden transition, respectively. On the basis of these results, we reconfirm the scheme of optical transitions consistent with the previously proposed model of electronic structure.
