摘要
Enhancements as well as quenching fluorescence intensities of Pyrromethene laser dyes (PM) complexed by gold nanoparticles (Au NPs) were investigated. A pronounced fluorescence quenching was expected experimentally depending on the size of prepared Au NPs. Mie theory explained this quenching behavior by calculating the scattering and absorbing efficiency of prepared Au NPs depending on its prepared size. [50% Au NPs: 1x10-4M PM] complex has the optimum concentration which showed the best fluorescence enhancement of PM dyes. Concurrent, the optimum complex concentration showed the lowest fluorescence lifetime of both PM dyes.
