摘要
This article aims to describe the role of media of knowledge and distance education, as well as the importance of media and communication in this Dialogic teaching-learning mode as capable to potentialize the development of reflexivity in the individual. To this end, discusses the phenomenon of globalization and its consequences in the process of Constitution of identities, changing the ways of thinking and acting of individuals, and requiring a constant reflexivity; discusses the emergence of the information society as one of the constituent elements of this phenomenon, and the need for reshaping educational institutions for the Constitution of new identities, through the media of knowledge; presents the distance education as a democratic educational mode, able to meet the educational needs every day, eyeshadow and the development of reflexivity for the formation of the autonomy of the individual, through its own organization and Constitution, describing the role of the teacher as essential in this process. Uses as a theoretical framework, in addition to cultural studies, present in the conceptions of Hall and Giddens, authors such as Castells, Hack, Freire, Preti, among others, and, finally, presents the distance education as a differentiated modality, that enhances the autonomy and the independence of the student, once it develops the capacity of reflexivity.
