The friction temperature in a discrete contact under conditions of mixed friction are analyzed. The thermal deformations (contact radius) and temperature in interacting asperities are obtained by solving the integral equation. A numerical solution of this equation is obtained which shows that the contact radius decreases linearly with time. A statistical analysis of the thermomechanical quantities has been carried out. The expectation and quantile for the maximum temperature are given as functions of the EHD film thickness parameter.
