摘要：

Two measurements of the spontaneous-fission half-life of **2**4**2Cm have now been published: (6. 09 plus or minus 0. 18) 10**6 yr and (7. 2 plus or minus 0. 2) 10**6 yr. The authors measured the spontaneous-fission half-lives of the nuclides mentioned by a method described in this paper. Results are also presented.
