摘要：

This article aims to provide an overview of what telemedicine is: the way a lot of countries not only in the first world, have benefited by applying it and how we can support with existing resources to improve health service in Ecuador. It briefly describes the progress made in the spanish community of Aragon and shows interesting options to be applied in medical and hospital services to support Ecuador's national programs, for instance Manuela Espejo, carried out by the Vice-Presidency of the country.
