摘要
The site distribution of natural abundance deuterium in various sources of benzaldehyde was studied by H-2 NMR. The distribution of deuterium among the aromatic sites provided a means of differentiating petrochemical and botanical sources and of detecting adulteration of costly bitter almond oil. The absolute abundance of each deuterated species was determined by a combination of H-2 NMR and isotope ratio mass spectrometry.
