摘要
Having as reference and analyze point an Egyptian spell that aimed to heal a headache through a process that one might compare to an "exorcism", this article intends to treat questions regarding the uses and notions of common concepts and categories in the studies of Ancient Egypt. When discussing about the application of the terms religion, magic and demons to this ancient civilization, my pursuit is not to offer a conclusive answer about how one must classify an Egyptian resource of this type, but to claim the attention for central questions of both epistemological and nomenclatural sorts that specially rise from the contact between researcher and object of study.
