ELECTROCHEMICAL OXIDATION OF CYANIDES AT CARBON-FIBER AND AT ELECTRODEPOSITED COPPER-OXIDE ELECTRODE

摘要
Electrooxidation of CN- solutions at concentration 1X10(-3) to 1X10(-2) mole dm-3 at carbon fibre as anode was investigated. Influence of electrolysis potential, electrolyte flow rate and initial CN- ion concentration on its degree of conversion was determined. Modification of carbon fibre with copper oxides indicated the possibility of diluted CN-solutions oxidation, acceleration of this process and in consequence a decrease of reaction potential by about 0.2 V. CuO-film at carbon fibre, was partially destroyed during CN- oxidation. Possible explanations of CN- conversion degree, higher than it could be expected by the electric charge passing through the electrolyzer, were discussed.
