THE INHIBITIVE EFFECT OF SOME FURFURAL BENZOYLHYDRAZONE DERIVATIVES ON THE CORROSION OF ALUMINUM IN HYDROCHLORIC-ACID SOLUTION

摘要
The inhibition efficiency of some furfural benzoylhydrazone derivatives for the corrosion of aluminium in hydrochloric acid solution has been investigated by weight loss and galvanostatic polarization methods. The two different methods gave the same order of inhibition efficiency. Polarization data indicate that all inhibitors tested were of a mixed type, affecting both anodic and cathodic polarization processes. The degree of surface coverage (theta) of the electrode and DELTA-G(ads) were calculated.
