摘要
The rate of the reaction between Rh(IV) and Fe(II) in HClO4 solution obeys the equation -d[Rh(IV)]/dt = k[Rh(IV)][Fe(II)]/K + [H+], where k = 245 +/- 7 sec-1 and K = 0.5 M (hydrolysis constant of Rh(OH)3+) at 25-degrees-C. The activation energy of the reaction is E = 41.5 +/- 2.7 kJ/mole. The activation entropy DELTAS* = -(68 +/- 9) J/mole.K. The rate-limiting slow step is Rh(OH)3+ + FeOH+ --> Rh(OH)3 + FeOH2+.
