摘要
In this article we aim to present and discuss the access to some basic goods and social services in five Federal Conservation Units in the state of Amazonas, through the analysis of social-environmental surveys carried out in those areas. Therefore, we explain about the creation of protected areas, the resident population and the analytical categories of citizenship and social inclusion/exclusion that guided the reading of the studies. Then, we discuss the empirical data in light of the criteria selected: Social Security (Social Security, Social Assistance, Health) and Education. The results show that such public policies reach the rural communities in precarious ways and there remains a perspective that considers the populations those areas as mere custodians of natural resources, rather than citizens.
