An experiment was conducted on farmer's fields to study the effect of management practices on productivity of sugarcane (Saccharum officinarum L.) and wheat (Triticum aestivum L. emend. Fiori & Paol.). The productivity of sugarcane and wheat could be increased by 16.63 and 18.20% respectively compared with farmer's practice by adopting full package of practices. Among different management practices, need-based plant protection and recommended irrigation individually and in combination showed highest contribution than recommended NPK to sugarcane yield, whereas need-based plant-protection measures contributed highest (9.4%) to the yield of wheat, followed by chemical weed control (5.2%).
