摘要
Echocardiography combined with bycicle exercise test was performed in 22 patients with dilated cardiomyopathy. Hemodynamic response to exercise was characterized by the absence of increment of cardiac output at threshold work loads. This was caused by decrease in stroke output due to diminished myocardial contractility combined with unchanged afterload and inadequate (in comparison with healthy individuals) chronotropic reserve.
