摘要
This essay intends to present the work of David Jimenez within the perspective of literary modernity and its implications for literary criticism. It begins by contemplating the relationship between modern literature and literary and social history. Then it approaches the problem of the dissolution of harmony understood as the breakdown of the poem as a formal unit and of the romantic topic of universal correspondances. Finally, some questions of critical theory are put forth, such as the need to reevaluate the concepts of allegory and autonomy and the problem of the form of critical praxis.
