摘要
This discussion of the relevance of spiritual issues for individual psychotherapy explores spiritual addictions, ambitions, seductive aspects of altered states experiences, denial of the shadow, "specialness," guilt and purification, "idolatry." Psychologically healthy spirituality is seen to include authenticity, letting go of the past, facing fears, insight and forgiveness, love and compassion, community, awareness, peace and liberation. The rewards of practice flow from taking responsibility for the spiritual journey.
