摘要：

The article is focused on the problem of generations that is of importance for the contemporary historical discipline. The article shows the dynamics of the concept 'generation', and the interpretations of the breaks and continuity of generation by Russian intellectuals, as well as the specific features of the discourse of generations in the 19th century Russia.
