The state of the art on public policies for people with disabilities in Brazil: dialogue on mainstreaming and education

This article aims to present an overview of policies for people with disabilities in Brazil, addressing its organizational structure and proposing a dialogue with education, thus aiming to connect the different school knowledge, which are social reproduction, to look for clues about the cross-cutting policies, that may be the biggest challenge of a developing democracy. Besides trying to understand how these policies are organized, and in which social spaces materialize, we seek to think, from the perspective of education, defense argument that mainstreaming can contribute to a process of dialogue between civil society and government agencies demanding a pedagogy of social participation, as well as new ways of doing and understanding politics and, more than that, exercise different practices for a more inclusive world.
