摘要
Copolymers of 2-acrylamido-2-methyl propane sulphonic acid (AMPS) with acrylamide (AA), methacryl amide (MA) and methylene bisacrylamide (MBA) have been synthesized using benzoyl peroxide as free radical initiator at 60 degrees C. These copolymers are characterized by solution properties and thermal degradative studies. The activation energies at which the copolymers decompose are determined from the thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). The stabilities of different copolymers are determined and the effect of monomer and composition of the copolymer has been discussed.
