摘要：

A case of cryptococcosis in a patient with AIDS was reported. A 30 years old female HIV-infected African woman admitted to our hospital with complaints of fever, weight loss, cough and headache. She had not received antiretroviral therapy. Disseminated cryptococcosis was diagnosed by isolation of C. neoformans from blood culture and cerebrospinal fluid. She was initially treated with conventional amphotericin B for six weeks, followed by fluconazole for maintenance therapy and discharged with recovery. A total of 13 cases have been reported from Turkey between 1991 and 2007 together with our case. Four of them were disseminated infection, and others were meningitis. Overall fatality rate was 61.5%.
