摘要
The organic and functional quality of the components of voice seen as an instrument (respiratory system, larynx and vocal tract) cannot be sufficiently examined without the help of technical devices. Such medical imaging modalities enable diagnostic examinations of areas inside the body. This review article will discuss 3 very different imaging modalities that are used to study physiologic and pathophysiologic processes during voice production, namely videostroboscopy, high-speed imaging laryngoscopy and dynamic magnetic resonance imaging and their current significance and value in vocal function diagnostics will be reviewed.
