摘要：

The diabetes insipidus is a syndrome characterized by poliuria and polidipsia. Many causes may develop the diabetes insipidus. The head injury corresponds to 3% of causes of central diabetes insipidus. The authors report a case of 27-years-old man that developed diabetes insipidus two days after head injury. Discuss the physiopathology, diagnosis, treatment and review of the medical literature.
