The misicibility of poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO) with poly(methyl acrylate) (PMA) is demonstrated by using the Prigogine-Flory theory in Patterson's approximation. Negative values of enthalpy of mixing, contact-energy term and interaction parameter were obtained for the blend with 75/25 weight ratio. The temperature dependence of chi12/V1* indicates that PEO-PMA mixtures are miscible in the liquid state over the accessible temperature range.
