摘要
We hypothesize that life cycle differences in expectations for improvements in financial status and neighborhood quality influence life cycle differences in neighborhood satisfaction. We argue that these differences in expectations influence the standards against which current neighborhoods are assessed. Satisfaction should be greatest among the life cycle stages where expectations and current condition are most similar. Our data support this hypothesis.
