摘要
Adsorption equilibria of binary organic vapor mixtures on activated carbon are investigated experimentally and theoretically. A new model is presented for predicting equilibria of binary vapors in microporous adsorbents, using only temperature-invariant pure-component parameters. Molecular sieve effects can also be taken into account. The micropore space is divided into subvolumes which are related to adsorption potentials by means of the characteristic curves of the pure components. Amount adsorbed and composition are evaluated separately in each subvolume, assuming the absorbate mixture forms ideal adsorbed solutions. The model predicts the measured mixture data very well, even though one mixture has a strong pressure-dependent azeotrope. © 1990.
