EVIDENCE AGAINST OBLIGATORY FORMATION OF AN ACYL ENZYME INTERMEDIATE IN ALPHA-CHYMOTRYPSIN CATALYZED REACTIONS OF AMIDES

摘要
The relative rates of chymotrypsin catalyzed reactions with water and with glycinamids differ for benzoyl-L-tyrosine ethyl ester and benzoyl-L-tyrosine glycinamide. These results indicate that a common benzoyl-L-tyrosine-chymotrypsin intermediate is not formed from both substrates. © 1969.
