摘要
Flexible Automation in forming is essential to effectively meet the production of dynamic product varieties. This paper simulates the flexibility in forming operations by integrating the forming tools and multi robot assembly systems, highlighting its advantages. The hierarchical problems encountered by Flexible Automated Forming and Assembly Systems are explicitly discussed using a typical illustration. These are shown to be better solved by modelling and analyzing the system with the aid of Petri Nets.
