摘要：

The effect on sweet corn yield of inoculation with maize dwarf mosaic virus strain A and B at the 3-leaf stage, 8-leaf stage, or just before silking was tested at Urbana and Dixon Springs, Illinois [USA]. Early infection delayed maturity and reduced kernel fill at the basal portion of the ear, ear length, ear diameter, ear weight, number of 2nd ears and plant height. Little difference was found between plants inoculated last and the uninoculated control.
