摘要
1. The palmitic acid fate as substrate for the synthesis of either glycerides or other fatty acids was studied in vivo and in the microsomal fraction from hepatopancreas of Macrobrachium borellii. 2. Most of the palmitic acid administered in vivo circulated to the hepatopancreas, being incorporated mainly in the triacylglycerol (TG) fraction. 3. Palmitic acid transformations into palmitoleic, stearic and oleic acids were observed in the hepatopancreas. 4. The in vitro biosynthesis of TG in hepatopancreas was more active than in other tissues. In the microsomal fraction, palmitic acid was also incorporated mainly in TG, and followed the alpha-glycerophosphate pathway.
