摘要
The main purpose of this paper is to explore the relationship between social capital and education from an ethical perspective. Some theoretical reflections on ethics and the need for social capital development arc made in order to create a model; by which the so called "poor development" in Latin America could be challenged. On the other hand, the inclusion of the educational factor is considered as vital to expedite the processes needed to reach social transformation; based on education as the generator of knowledge in society. In conclusion, educational institutions, in particular institutions of higher education, are called upon to build critical and reflective individuals, who base their decisions on ethical values. In this manner, Latin-American society would be better equipped to face important change processes and the diverse challenges involved in the construction of a new vision of development.
