摘要：

Hip arthroscopy is a powerful diagnostic instrument allowing accurate inspection of all intra-articular structures. It is superior to noninvasive diagnostic methods such as MRI. Compared to other joints like the knee, the surrounding soft tissues and the capsule make the approach more difficult. Exact patient positioning and appropriate distraction are essential. Hip arthroscopy offers established therapeutic options for several diagnoses such as the removal of loose bodies, chondroplasty and microfracturing, labral tear, and femoroacetabular impingement (FAI).
