Precariousness and Teaching Work: Expressions of the Ethical and Political Challenge of Social Work

Working from the Brazilian reality, this article aims to promote the debate on the conditions and the "call" for the work of the alternate teacher at public universities. The impacts of this reality are identified in the training of Social Work professionals, in their professional projection and their ethical-political orientation and detailed in a theoretical and critical perspective. The existing difficulties for the professional and his/her training given the precariousness of the work situation of the alternate professor is questioned. The analysis was done from a review of specific literature.
