摘要
Compact or CFL (compact luorescent lamp) luorescent lamps have become one of the most used types of lighting today. However, commercial CFL have mostly electronic ballasts low power factor. his generates an increase in the levels of distortion generation and distribution system due to the massive use of these lamps. In this paper the design and simulation of an electronic ballast with power factor correction for compact luorescent lamps is presented. he proposal seeks to evaluate the feasibility of integrating the correct operation, size and cost of this device. he proposed topology is a buck- boost stage operating in discontinuous conduction mode integrated into a current-fed inverter. High feasibility of implementing this topology is shown through simulations that achieve power factor of 0,998 and total harmonic distortion less than 5%.
