It is pointed out that Ingebrigtsen's discussion of the weak coupling limit in his analysis of the electric coupling between an acoustic surface wave in a piezoelectric and the adjoining medium does not immediately apply to the mechanically transverse electro-acoustic surface wave which was recently described by Bleustein and by Gulyaev. © 1969.
