MEASUREMENTS OF CHARGE STATE DISTRIBUTIONS OF CHANNELED IONS WITH THICK TARGETS OF SINGLE-CRYSTALS

摘要
We measured the charge state distributions of He and N ions emerging in planar blocking directions with thick targets of single crystals. For He ions, definite differences were not found between channeling case and random case, while for N ions the average charge for channeled ions was higher than that for randomly penetrating ions. The present results suggest that for N ions electron capture into a K shell hole produced by a violent collision is suppressed for the channeled ions. © 1979 North-Holland Publishing Co.
